Step 1 · Diagnosis

We look at the toe shape, how the joints move, and where the shoes rub. We watch how your child walks. X-rays show the bones and growth plates, which helps us judge how severe the shape is and how the foot may change.

Step 2 · Treatment

We start with roomy, well fitting shoes and padding or toe spacers. Custom orthotics can help guide the foot when it is rolling in. Stretching and exercises may improve toe movement. Ice and rest can calm sore spots, and we recheck as your child grows.
